Ive tried skaking, its actually easier to turn, the thing is I can never get the last ball.

It does work, but it takes a long time. Twisting and turning is definitely better in the long run.

Yeah the last ball is the hardest. I have solved mine once so far and the way I got it was to try again and again and again. I will probably stick with it for a while and ditch my 3x3 and 4x4, so when i figure out the solution, I'll immediately reply to you.
